I like
to use the Elise at least once a week, so on Sunday 25th of February, I decided
to drive to the Wellington Farm Shop
(RG27 0LT). It’s roughly 25 miles for me. Avoid the motorway and the roads from
Newbury are quite nice (if a bit bumpy). I didn’t stop for an English Breakfast
(I think it’s great they open at 08:30 on Sunday for breakfast) because I wasn’t
that hungry (need to go for an early morning run to give me some appetite).
Next time I go I’ll video the journey and try out the breakfast too!
Putting
the postcode into Waze - or any other Sat Nav for that matter - you will not
find the entrance. The entrance is not on the A33 but on Welsh Lane and looks
like the below image.

After
returning home, doing a bit of shopping (I’ve bought my first new pressure
washer - I had a reconditioned one that didn’t work), and washing the Lotus
Elise, it was time to put on a new car cover I bought from the https://www.thelotusforums.com/shop.
The new car cover is heavier than the silvery cover I used before, and I think
better but time will tell (will be on the look-out for scuffs). It doesn’t flap
around in the wind anything like as much. And has 4 straps so it won’t lift at
the front. It is also blue to match my car(s) and looks like in the picture
below.

I’m
pretty sure that ‘The Lotus Forums’ use Specialised Covers.
Odometer
now up to ~ 5350 miles.
