My Journey to the Lotus Elise

My car history!

1) 1993: ‘Ford Fiesta 950 Popular’ 3-door in Burgundy

2) 1995: ‘Ford Orion’ in Red

This car was a bit of a disaster. It broke down just after I collected it from the garage. There was something wrong with the engine and it duly got replaced.

3) 1995: ‘Peugeot 205 1.1’ 5-door in Gold

4) 1997: ‘Peugeot 205 Diesel Turbo’ 5-door in White

The first of many Diesel Turbos!

5) 1999: ‘Peugeot 205 Gentry’ in Gold

Perhaps my biggest mistake! I thought it was the same 1.9 litre engine as in the 205 GTI but later learnt it was a detuned version. Something wasn’t right with the engine too. I promptly wrapped it around a tree.
