Over 3 years later (bought in September 2022), my Category N insurance write off, Audi A3, got a detail. A few things were done:
- Paint correction and detail with 5 year ceramic coating
- Black alloys refurbished in black
- Calipers touched up in red (also rear brake pads and disks done)
- Rear passenger-side light cluster replaced (there was a crack from the 2020 Cat N incident)
- Black badges completed + new black wheel center caps
- Engine bay cleaned

My Cat N Audi A3 is my most successful car in years by longevity. I've had it over 3 years now. It started off as a disaster, but since the gearbox replacement, it's been a good car. The knowledge that car dealers will not give me much for a Cat N, that I know is in excellent condition, is a good reason to never sell it. It is a perfect everyday car.
